Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
When you leave out the fried, you take away all those empty calories!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2-2 lbs Chicken breast Pounded thin
- 1/2 Cup Flour, seasoned Season with garlic, parsley, salt, pepper
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Cup Breadcrumbs, seasoned Season with garlic, parsley, salt, pepper
- 1 Cup Mozzarella
- 1 Cup Marinara sauce
- 1 Egg
- 4 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- First air fry the chicken cutlets. Pound 2 chicken breasts very thin between two pieces of parchment paper.
- Dip cutlets in flour then egg and then bread crumb and place in the air fryer (coated with cooking spray) for about 15 minutes at 380 degrees F. Depending on how big your air fryer you may need to do this twice.
- When the cutlets are cooked add sauce to the bottom of a small baking dish. Add chicken on top. Add 1/2c mozzarella and then 1/2c sauce. Add second cutlet, sauce and then the rest of the cheese. Sprinkle with parmesan.
- Preheat oven to 350. Place foil on top of the casserole dish and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes so all the cheese melts.
- Take off the foil and place back in the oven. Broil for a few minutes until the top gets a little brown. Remove and let it sit for five minutes until cutting.
