THIS WEEKS NUTRITION TIPS

Need some motivation? Here are my weekly tips!
  1. Adult Beverage Recommendation: Say YES to a peach Bellini ! After all, peaches ARE in season! At 160 calories in a 4oz serving it's not the worst choice for a sweet alcoholic beverage!
  2. A Quick Dinner: One of my favorite week night go-to dinners that's fast and in one large pan is cauliflower fried rice.If you always have a bag of frozen riced cauliflower and a medley of peas, corn and carrots you've already gotten a head start! Just scramble an egg and defrost the veggies. Add them all into a large pan with some soy sauce and sesame oil. Add a little heat with sriracha. Now for the protein! You can add any leftovers you may have in the fridge which is the obvious choice but if you don't have that option chicken nuggets or scrambling an additional egg is your best choice!
  3. It's Dessert Time: Need a healthy Dessert for the week? Try buying frozen mango or any other frozen fruit from trader joes. Add a cup or two to a bowl and let it defrost. Enjoy popping these in your mouth in front of the TV!

Peaches

One medium sized peach is about 60 calories and 15g of carbs, one carbohydrate serving. They have additional properties besides being low in calorie and high in fiber (about 5-10% of your days worth of fiber!). This fruit also has a whopping amount of vitamin C and potassium. Good for your heart, blood pressure and immune system!

I love peaches as a snack and they go great with cottage cheese!

MINDFULNESS

Sometimes the weekend or even weekdays puts a toll on my body. A good stretch in the morning can help you walk a bit straighter during the day! Lizard pose is a great way to open the hips and hamstrings!
