THIS WEEKS NUTRITION TIPS

Need some motivation? Here are my weekly tips!
  1. Say YES frose! If you make it at home you can cut the calories tremendously by blending frozen rose (make sure to pour the wine out in a little baking dish and freeze first),with fresh or frozen berries, lime and just a bit of simple syrup to taste!
  2. A good dinner option! Grilling (DUH) is a GREAT way to have a leaner meal, but it depends on what your plan is. Try grilling a tenderloin, marinated chicken or tofu steak and combining it with a healthy Summer Lovin side dish. Check out my pasta-less pasta salad recipe below or click to watch my video. Going low carb at night can increase your chances of weight loss!
  3. Need a healthy dessert for the week? Someone brought key lime pie for dessert on Saturday and now you're worried the leftovers will put you in a spiral? No fret. Combine this tasty dessert (or any cake for that matter) with a 1/2 cup of plain 0% greek yogurt. Slice a small amount of cake or pie and add the yogurt and maybe some crunchy high fiber cereal (like fiber one). Now you can have your cake for breakfast and enjoy all week!

Zucchini

Did you know that one cup of zucchini only has 60 calories but 8 grams of FIBER? Now that's a lot of nutrition.

Try roasting this delicious veggie with a little salt, pepper and avocado cooking spray (my new favorite thing). The sweetness is unbearable. Who knew veggies could be sweet?

Try a quick power yoga class on your lunch break. 30 minutes may be all you need to stretch out that body and improve the mind! Then you can get back to work!
